The floor staff were all nice and approachable, but this one lady, a supervisor or manager was unbearable. She has no way of speaking to people; borderline rude. Spoke to her about her behaviour, but it fell on deaf ears. A stark contrast to her staff who were warm and kind.
I arranged a "surprise" 50th Wedding anniversary dinner for my young bride, Louise on the 10th December 2022. Ursula and her team were absolutely amazing in that they made every possible effort to see how they could assist and make the arrangements easier for me. Then the actual dinner! Well the chef outdid herself - the fillet and the lambs received rave comments from all my 40 odd guests and the portions were generous. So if you are arranging a function this is the place to book! Great views from the balcony.
Encore is a great venue for training. There is lots of parking. Food is good. Service - there is room for improvement.
My Anywhoo's... Gosh... There's a huge difference between attending a meeting and actually having supper there. Food is nothing to be desired. Presentation is good, but nah ah... Would never spend my money willingly there. The starter, wait... Listen so I ordered the prawns, think it was panko... First time it comes, prawns are raw, send it back, it comes back more golden brown than the first batch, but the prawns are still raw... WTAF... So done, and was no longer hungry either. The main... I didn't even bother. Upside... There was loads of parking right by the entrance. So, give and take hey . Ma nooit weer nie. So...likeAnd.... Until next time
I want to extend an official heartfelt 'thank you' to you all for a wonderful Matric Formal event for the 2nd year in a row at Encore. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and the Encore staff/students are always helpful and attentive and our needs or wishes are always well accommodated which makes the event planning and setup much more pleasant. Chuma is always so helpful and generous – and a much-needed calming presence in the middle of event-stress mode! We look forward to many more events with Encore. *I included photos from both 2024 and 2025's events. **I deducted one star for atmosphere as I think the paint colours can be updated to something more neutral and warmer toned, as the burnt red doesn't lend itself to a lot of themes/can clash with themes.
Overall a great venue, with excellent preparation of tasteful meals and great views Trainees need a bit of honing
It is a stunning setting for any cost event. It was a first for me
We had a lovely breakfast hosted by Radio CCFM at Encore... their food was delicious and service was great
